@n1ckfg that was my understanding but I wasn’t sure. Like I didn’t think it was just road runner cartoons. As a kid one time I looked it up in the phone book and there were so many acme businesses! I chuckled but was also confused.

Are businesses named acme exclusively for old cartoons? I thought it was like a generic american business name. Like the foobar of American entrepreneurialship basically.

Browsing local twitch yesterday, saw a streamer playing this game https://store.steampowered.com/app/2653790/The_Exit_8/ looked interesting. They were literally trying to escape the room!

I forgot to post this before but this is an activity at the Tokyo Auto show a few weeks back. Basically if you’ve seen the Teamlab activity where you draw a fish and it gets scanned and put into a projected aquarium with other people’s drawn fish swimming about, then this is similar. You draw a race car and then it gets scanned and you can race it against other people’s drawn cars. It was cute to watch.

I saw a Taiwanese film called Old Fox at the Tokyo International Film Festival and it was really nice. I think it’s global opening was a few days ago at the festival so maybe it will be available elsewhere soon. Kinda hard to get it out of my head even though it’s been a few days.
