Had no idea hurricanes/typhoons only exist in certain areas. I mean obviously I don’t think they’d exist in, say, a desert but I thought in places that get rain and storms. 🤷🏻♀️ Apparently they need warm water to exist so this makes sense looking at the map, but what’s up with the absence around the equator? https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/hurricanes/en/ also found this map of hurricane typhoon paths from 1985-2005 on Wikipedia.
Saw this Kamen Rider belt on TV. There’s like a long history w the toy version of the belts that the Kamen Riders of the past wore and used to transform into the Kamen Rider. Lots of clicking in, locking in, flashing lights, flipping panels, moving levers and such. The mechanical effects and physical ritual of the belt to transform is incredibly satisfying on a user/viewer experience level. Anyways this particular belt uses actual cards that can then be used to battle at the arcade games. 💕
I forgot to post this before but this is an activity at the Tokyo Auto show a few weeks back. Basically if you’ve seen the Teamlab activity where you draw a fish and it gets scanned and put into a projected aquarium with other people’s drawn fish swimming about, then this is similar. You draw a race car and then it gets scanned and you can race it against other people’s drawn cars. It was cute to watch.
