Went to a supermarket yesterday and there were workers stocking produce, and with them a waist high cylindrical robot moving around cleaning the floor. It was the first time I saw a robot working during the day w a team of humans. But this is actually super important cause there is a labor shortage here due to the declining/aging population. There’s another largish supermarket closer to the train station that doesn’t have human cashiers later in the evening 8pmish and is all self checkout. 🤖

Is it just me or is it trendy to smoosh down a croissant 🥐 right now, like flat? It looks like a car ran over it… tbh. I mean croissants are meant to be flakey and multilayered and buttery and now they are smooshed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve done a few jigsaw puzzles before but I’m not like a huge fan of them. They’re fun when you’re doing it with friends so you can gab while you put them together but it always seemed kind of task-like and anticlimactic tbh. Until maybe the last decade people I knew rarely visited Japan. Growing up, I think it was like an accepted truth in my mind that no one would ever understand or know what my life was like when I visited my grandma during the summers. Now things are completely different!
